I voted. I had planned to vote in person on Election Day, but because of the Corona virus, we had requested an absentee ballot just in case we weren’t able to go on Nov. 3. I found out that I can still vote in person but I had to bring the absentee ballot with me when I voted. Then late last week I learned if you had an absentee ballot and were planning on voting in person on Election Day it would take a lot longer. At this point we decided to vote early. The last day to do that in VA was Sat. October 31.
We went to the county offices to vote. There was a line going around the building. When we arrived my husband was taking out the wheelchair and a lady, (a poll worker) came up to us and said we didn’t have to wait on line, that we could vote right there. We handed her our ID’s and absentee voter forms and she came back with the ballots. We filled them out and gave them back to her. My husbansd asked if he could go see them entered in the voting machine and she stated how crowded it was and that it could take some time. We left. In looking back I wish we had decided to wait on the line and enter our votes.
For the last two days business’s and even The White House are putting up barriers against rioting when the results are revealed. This is the first time in my life I have seen this happening. Trump said that if he loses it’s because of fraud and he will not step down. He will bring the decision to the Supreme Court to decide.
I am thrilled that I don’t have to watch another political commercial. You know if Trump loses it is not the end of him. As I previously predicted, his next move will be Trump TV. There he can keep his following and make up whatever lies and conspiracy theories he wants.
I am so full of anxiety. We’ll see what the next couple of days will bring as far as results.
