Last night we went to see Heart. They are my favorite rock’n roll female group. Ann Wilson has the most amazing voice and her sister Nancy is right up there with the best rock’n roll guitar players.
I had bought handicapped seats at the Altria Theater. It’s a beautiful old theater and the handicapped seats are in the center of the orchestra section. We had been there before so I knew they were good seats. I bought them the day they went on sale.
The entire concert was way beyond anything I could have imagined. The music was on the mark. The arrangements were perfect. There were eight different guitars, three lead guitars taking their spotlight on different songs. Nancy switched from electric to acoustic, actually they all did.

I know that the Wilson sisters are huge lovers of Led Zeppelin, (they performed when Zeppelin received the Kennedy Center Honors), and they did not disappoint. They performed “The Ocean, Going to California” and……..
My biggest surprise was when I heard the opening guitar for “The Rain Song.” OMG, my last post was about this song. It was perfect! After singing this, Ann stated how this song deeply gets to her heart, just like me!! Two days in a row, “The Rain Song” center stage in my heart and mind.
They performed much of their work with a surprise of David Bowie’s, “Let’s Dance.” They also performed a song they heard while touring in Europe, “You’re the Voice,” (Chris Thompson). They found it perfect for these troubled times, a positive note on coming together.
The concert ended with what else, “Barracuda.” Now is when everyone is standing and being in the wheelchair I can’t see. Soooo I wheeled over to the break in the aisle to see better. Looking down the aisle the stage was so close. I wheeled right down to the front of the stage. Perfect end to a perfect evening.
