Here we are, we’ve never left, the problem is growing no thanks to Biden’s welcoming unaccompanied children. We either have Trump building walls, (that are being scaled so the immigrants can drop their kids off over the other side) and separating children from their parents or now welcoming with open arms. Come on politicians, the issues of immigration go farther back than either Trump or Biden. Does anyone in charge of this country have any compassion, along with common sense to strongly battle this problem and work together, (duh, elephants and asses equally).
I’ve seen the lives that they are leaving behind, of poverty, crime, corruption and it is truly sad and I feel for them. On the other hand, it can’t be solved by the ways the politicians are dealing with it, and I’m not an isolationist, but it is up to their leaders to help them. In this case I’m speaking only of the immigrants from South America and Mexico.
The other day Kamala Harris, our vice president visited Guatemala and met with their president. Her intensions were to try and stop the immigrants from leaving in the first place. As I understand it, we, the United States of America, will give them money to help build programs that will keep the people from leaving. Then she is headed to Mexico to do the same thing. I’m totally against this. Giving money to corrupt countries, wow, what a great idea, (thinking that they will use the money to help), are you kidding me?
When Kamala Harris was being interviewed by Lester Holt, NBC News, he asked her why didn’t she go visit our border, where these immigrants are being housed in crowded conditions, (as many as 20,000 weekly). Her response was that she was trying to stop the flow of people from their respective countries. He further pressed that didn’t she think she should visit the problem here at the Texas border? Her response, “well I haven’t been to Europe yet either.” What’s that got to do with anything?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a registered Independent, raised in a Republican family, (common sense prevailed). I voted for Biden and I do like some things he doing, but obviously this is not one that is being handled correctly. I also honestly feel that Donald Trump is the devil himself, wreaking havoc wherever he can.
