Impeachment #2

Here we go, another waste of time. We already know the outcome. The Republicans, regardless of how they really feel, will vote against the impeachment. It’s said, (by whom I don’t know) that if the vote was private, most Republicans would vote to impeach Trump! That says so much! These people need to be voted out of office as they are putting their careers over our country. It is time to stop this 2 party system, it isn’t working and hasn’t been for some time.

Not only are they wasting their time, they are wasting mine too. The TV stations have decided to air it on every local station. As if there isn’t enough news stations out there! Don’t interrupt my shows for this crap! If I want to watch it, I’ll go to the 24 hour news stations. Isn’t that what cable is about, having choices.

Speaking of being bipartision, I also think President Biden should compromise on the Covid Relief package. Go down to the $1000. like the Republicans want. Please make sure it goes to where it is supposed to go, Last time, we received a check that we didn’t need. We are very fortunate that my husband stayed employed. I wanted to donate it and he didn’t. Our neighbors also got a check and they too didn’t need it. They did give it to several charities. I read that Nigerians collected millions of dollars of unemployment benefits that were supposed to go to people here that needed it! It was extremely easy for them to do this, even bragged about it! We all know about the big corporations and big farming that ended up getting relief funds that were intended for smaller operations

Luckily the Democrats did take out the raise in minimum wage to be dealt with at another time. Again, the minimum wage is now 7.25 an hour. That is pathetic. Why don’t they start by raising it to 10. an hour. I know there are a lot of jobs out there but the problem is, they only pay minimum wage and you cannot live with that income, even just one person. How can you afford rent, utilities, food, clothes and other necessities with that paycheck.

Another example that burns me up. Welfare will spend 1000 to 2000 dollars monthly to put people up in seedy hotels when you can, for that money go out and get a decent apartment. When I was working and supporting my two kids, I would have loved to have 1000 a month to pay for rent. Speaking of welfare, I do think recipients should be actively looking for jobs to keep collecting benefits.

My bottom line is that Donald Trump needs to be held accountable for his actions that led to the violence at the capital. I really don’t want to care as much as I do. So much seems like common sense and I don’t know why common sense doesn’t prevail.
