I have been watching the hearings. Today is the fourth televised one. Each time there are new facts and new footage coming out about that day. I also continue to read the papers, (Richmond Times Dispatch, USA Today, Wall Street Journal and the NY Times). I watch the news. I don’t watch cable news channels, only the network news and World News Tonight, either with Lester Holt or David Muir. I watch no political commentary shows.
That being said it boggles my mind that I am hearing and reading that in this divided nation, people are not watching these hearings. They don’t want to or find no need to bring up the past, (time to let it go). Funny how the the same people won’t let the so called “election fraud” go, or saying that is old news.
When something is happening right before your eyes, as it did on January 6, 2021, and you can deny it, or believe it was a set up or just another White House tour is mind blowing. I don’t understand the closed minds. Is it me? There is a plethora of evidence showing that there was no fraud. There is a plethora of evidence that Donald Trump is guilty on so many fronts of fraud, instigation for the riot and responsible for the death threats to anyone who opposes him.
The fact that so many in our military follow him and are against our government scares me to no end. The Capital police officers who lost their lives during the riot and have PTSD from the abuse hurled at them is heart breaking. These are the same people who say they respect the cops and are against defunding police departments. There is so much hate and vitriol and that scares me. I have not spoken to friends and relatives, (that is my choice). I am afraid of the United States falling apart and a war within our own borders with fellow Americans and that scares me. Will Donald Trump ever be held accountable? I’m afraid the answer to that is a resounding “NO,” and that scares me.
