Dolly Parton has died. It was a complete surprise. She had cancelled events and kept us up to date but there was no reason to believe she wouldn’t come back singing, “Here we come Again.” I am aware of her legacy, her talent, and her philanthropy. It is so nice to watch the specials they’ve been airing on TV. If ever there was an angel on earth, Dolly is the one. No one comes close. So self aware, so smart, so giving, so true to God, and most of all so accepting. “Let you be you” is what she said. Universally loved.

Jesus called and it was time for this angel to go home

We were blessed to have her for 80 years. She certainly will be missed. Yesterday I was sitting at the kitchen table thinking about her, I look up and there is a butterfly at the hummingbird feeder. She stayed quite awhile feeding and then moved to the other feeder. In all these years I have never seen a butterfly at the hummingbird feeder. I couldn’t help but feel Dolly’s spirit outside my window. Coincidence, probably, but I will feel that its a beautiful reminder of her.
