I’ve watched The Today Show most of my life. It’s weird but they do feel like family to me. Every morning I get up, pour coffee and watch the show. I genuinely like all of the anchors.

Yesterday morning I was pretty surprised to hear that Savannah Guthrie’s mom was missing. I’m a huge fan of real crime shows, (Dateline, 20/20, 48 Hours).

Anyway I’m finding that this is really affecting me. I do feel like she is a family member. I feel closer to this than watching Dateline. I’m deeply concerned and feel connected. I don’t understand why this hits me as close to home.

I like Savannah Guthrie. She seems very genuine. She is also smart, funny and makes no secret of her faith in God. She sent out a beautiful statement asking for prayers for the safe return of her mother.

I am praying for the safe return of her mom.
