A couple of weeks ago, (when I got out of the hospital) we went to the house in NC for four days. We were shopping for groceries and noticed there were signs for an auction the following day. Viewing started at 10:30 am and bidding started at 1:00. This was in the same strip mall next to Food Lion. We all know how I love consignment and buying things that are used and giving them a new life.
The following morning we went and viewed what they had. I didn’t understand how it worked and they were very nice explaining things to me. I decided to bid on a few things and the good part was I didn’t have to be there. The first item was a beautiful cobalt blue 3′ Asian planter/jar. My top bid was 35.00. The next item I bid on was a table that I could use in the coastal guest room between the two twin beds. My top bid was 50.00. The last item was a stained glass dolphin in different shades of blue.. My top bid was 25.00. I ended up getting the table for 46.50 (see below) and the dolphin for 22.50. I was so excited and happy. If I bid 5.00 higher I would have gotten the Asian planter. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture of the dolphin.
