These two denim shirts have some little holes and small stains. My plan is to embroider over them. I have the tools necessary (embroidery thread, needles, stencils, and appropriate size embroidery ring) to accomplish this, they are even ironed, but I haven’t started yet.
The first picture is a collection of buttons. My cousin Lauren gave me her mother’s collection, plus others that were given to me and some I bought. The project is making Christmas tree ornaments with the buttons. Originally I wanted to make one for each of my cousins but that seemed overwhelming so I decided to make just one for Lauren, using some of her mother’s buttons. As you can see I have everything I need but haven’t started.
The next picture is a small Christmas wreath using the wire frame and balls from the dollar store. I have a previous post; Christmas Ball Wreath, dated 9/9/2025 of trying this with glass balls and a large wire frame and glue that was unsuccessful, (sat on my desk for three months!). I had made the decision to finish three Christmas wreaths before moving on which I did. I thought one more small wreath would be easy. Instead of glass balls they are plastic, and instead of glue I am tying them to the frame and when done I will glue them together. As you can see, it’s still a work in progress.
The left picture is a planter. This is a relatively easy project. There was a hole and Pete fixed it. All I have to do is paint it. I have the paint but alas, it’s sitting there like everything else.
I wanted to do a mixed media picture for my daughter using her senior picture. First I had to decide which size picture and canvas would work together. I finally decided on a square canvas and a 3 x 5 copy of the picture in sepia. I went on CVS Photo to order the 3 x 5. Well they don’t offer a 3 x 5. I thought I would go into CVS and maybe have somebody help me. I haven’t done that yet because it would take some effort with the wheelchair, (not that much effort, but still). Yet another project just sitting there.
The common denominator with all of this is me. What is wrong with me????
