The year is 2023. Who would have ever predicted that The Beatles and The Rolling Stones would both be on Billboard’s Top Hits List! Again, at the same, both bands, as always deserving
This week a new single was released by The Beatles. A song, “Now and Then,” recorded by John Lennon had been given to the remaining Beatles by Yoko sometime in the early 90’s. At that time, Paul added his piano, guitar, Ringo, drums, and George, his guitar work. At that time it could not be completed because of sound quality, (not having the ability to perfect the recording, so it was shelved. Here it is 2023 and we now have AI, (artificial intelligence). They were now able to complete the recording up to their standards. As I understand it, AI was only used to add slide guitar to a part George had played. The result has made the news and played nonstop on the radio and TV.
The Rolling Stones came out with a brand new album, “Hackney Diamonds.” This is their first collection of all original songs since 2005. It is amazing! These guys are the best in every way! A lot of it was recorded with Charlie Watts on the drums before he passed away, which makes it special. What else makes it special is that they have guests, including Sir Elton John, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Bill Wyman, and who else but Sir Paul McCartney!!! He is featured on the song, “Bite My Head Off.” Another fun part is being able to watch them on TV promote the album in interviews.
