I bought 2 Blueberry bushes shorty after moving in. We bought a third one at a flea market soon after. They are approximately 10 years old.
I first planted them in the raised bed that is now the herb garden. Too many bugs and birds were getting to them so I replanted them in large containers to put on the deck. Pete made a PVC netted structure to protect from critters. They’ve done good there.
A few years ago I put up the pinwheels and because of the shine reflecting from them and the movement of a breeze, there’s been no birds/ chipmunks, or squirrels.
Every year in late February/March I prune them to about a foot tall and feed them some HollyTone.
