While we were in NC, I was happy to see that the daffodils I planted in the fall were up and blooming. I planted four clumps that I had taken from my two huge ones in VA. Every year they spread so big and I’m able to dig up, (in the early fall) and replant them somewhere else or give them away.
Pete also cut down the grasses and Buddleia, (Butterfly Bush) at my direction. We also put netting on the Rudbeckia, (Black eyed Susan’s), Aizoaceae, (Ice Plant) and Lantana Camara, (perennial Lantana). This was so the deer won’t eat them. The Black eyed Susan’s are also dug up from my perennial garden in VA.
