Feeling Healthy

Physical Therapy has been wonderful. Stephanie really makes me work and I love it. It’s what I need, to be pushed. Unfortunately, I don’t follow up at home, (that’s opening another can of worms). I do note the exercises and knowledge and I will half ass practice but with no significant time or effort.

By changing my diet it has become a surprise benefit to my health. This is the same diet, which I call “my AI Diet.” As noted in my monthly weigh ins, I am consistently losing weight but also feeling lighter. By incorporating a protein in every meal has changed my life. I no longer have the desire to eat things that have no nutritional value, (ie; crackers, processed foods), and I’ve significantly cut down on my bread intake. I question foods that I used to love. For the first time in my life I am regular. I used to be constipated, I attributed it to the MS and medications. I would go maybe twice a week and I would take stool softeners every day. No need anymore, maybe that’s why I feel lighter?

Anyway, physically I feel great. I still get tired in the afternoons and when I push myself outdoors. Mentally I’m not so great, I’ll leave that for another post
