Primary Physician – Last week I went to Dr. Adams for my followup after leaving the hospital. I like her a lot. For seeing her only once a year she remembers me and is familiar with my health records. After looking through what went on in the hospital, we focused on my lungs. I was under the impression that my shortness of breadth was due to blood pressure and high heart rate. Wrong! It has to do with my lungs. That made me feel better in a way because I was worried about a heart attack, although if I thought about it you don’t have a heart attack from low blood pressure. Anyway I told her I had an appointment in three months for another chest scan and then to see the Thoracic Surgeon. She thinks I should see a Pulmonologist and have some tests done before that. I agreed and the said that up front would make an appointment for me with the Pulmonologist. When I went up front I was told “no, they don’t do that.” I left a message for the doctor or nurse to call me back. So far no call.
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician – Today I returned to see Dr. Moen. The last time I was scheduled to get Botox in my legs for the spasticity and stiffness. I couldn’t because at the time I was still on antibiotics for the UTI. I finished the antibiotics on Friday so it was okay to get the Botox today. I received two doses on each side of the right calf. This ankle/leg is a bit stronger than the left. I received four doses, two on each side of the left calf at a higher strength because of the weakness. I will now go every three months if it works.
