It’s a Family Affair

Today is the day the rest of my family is coming! My son, his lady, her 15 year old daughter, my 9 month old granddaughter, and my 16 year old grandson! The jerk chicken has been marinating for 2 days, I cut up all the vegetables this morning and just have to make my healthy potato salad, no mayo.

My daughter has been a huge help with cleaning, cooking, and most of all Maggie. The past few days haven’t been good with her. She’s been peeing and pooping in the house only because she can’t get outside, her legs are so bad. I go to bed and wake up thinking that this will be the day to make the decision to put her down and miraculously this morning she is doing better. We’ve noticed that the right side of her jaw seems to be inflamed and we just noticed there is a large growth there. I wanted to try and get her to the vet, but neither of us can lift her. First thing tomorrow I will call and we can take her, ( my son is able to lift her).

I’m excited for my family to be united and we all like to play games, so there will be a very competitive Uno game and they are bringing another one too. We’ll have good music, mine; the rule has always been “my car, my music,” and also “my house, my music.” My eclectic collection is always a surprise to them and a great source of teasing, and besides since I’m a rocker they know the selection is good. “A splendid time is guaranteed for all.” Might not write for a few days, hopefully be busy.

Oh yeah, I got my 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine yesterday. I was feeling very tired and achy today but took an Aleve and feel better.
