I’ve been thinking….

So much going on in the past week. I’ve had a lot on my mind to talk about, but unable to find the time to sit down and write. First and foremost is the election, there is also accomplishing some gardening goals, and then the usual mumbo jumbo going on in my brain.

Thankfully my knee is better. I got a shot of cortisone and a prescription anti-inflammatory. Unfortunately my weight seems to be ballooning out of control. I do love to eat, but I eat healthy. Out of all the Halloween candy, I saved tootsie pops, one for each day. I had some tootsie rolls while making the bags, and 1 super small 100,000 bar. I have eaten carrots with Lantana spicy carrot hummus. The bad part is I can go through one container of hummus in 2 days, That’s 2 containers a week! My thinking is that it is healthy, right? I swear, I’m addicted to it! I think a lot of my eating has to do with my frustration at having no sex life.

Today I got on the bike for the first time in at least 6 months. I’m going to try for a few times a week. I also want to try sit ups. I need to start My Fitness Pal, its worked before and by not starting to keep track I feel I’m truly not serious yet. Can’t pinpoint why I’m not starting it.

Speaking of Halloween, I didn’t know what to expect as far as kids coming out. Usually we have a fair amount of kids, 70/80. We did buy candy and made individual bags, (we’ve always done that) as suggested. I saw that people were making tubes from pvc pipe and attaching to the railing. My husband wasn’t interested in that. My next suggestion was to bring the firepit out to the driveway with chairs and a table to put the candy on. We had done this in NY with our neighbors. He agreed and I invited my neighbors to join us. The only thing I forgot was ingredients to make smores! We did have wine.

It was a beautiful night and our 1st outdoor fire since we’re here! The neighborhood kids and parents loved it and thanked us for coming out. It ended up that we had just as many kids as usual, no one was wearing masks. It seemed ok since we were so far apart. I think we’ll do this every year, its better than jumping up and down every time the doorbell rings.

I also went to a new place for my hair, love the color, not so much the cut. Private salon which I like, opposed to a chain, but wow! Major political talk that was driving me up a wall!! All pro Trump, believing all his lies, saying how he was going to win and that they were finding all these ballots from dead people and even cats and dogs! I had so much anxiety! No sooner had I left, I was texted that Joe Biden was the winner. I wanted to open the door and let them know that the next president was Joe Biden!
