Now that I am over myself and realized, yes I did set many goals such as going to college at 29 years old, getting a second job whenever I wanted something that I could not afford on my day job, going to Italy after I was diagnosed and before I wouldn’t be physically not able to. I set goals about working out, improving me and my children’s home situation, and to quit smoking.
I am again reminded that to follow goals work and therefore it is time to make new ones. The first step, which could be the hardest for me, is decide what I want. I need to separate what I wish for, from something that I very much want to happen in my life so I can move forward. Then the next step for me would be to develop a plan. This will be less of a challenge after I decide what I want. After making a plan then I need to start using that plan to accomplish my goal. How many steps will it take to achieve, will it be a long term goal, or a more immediate goal? Can I work on two goals, one long term and another short? I think that is doable.
Because life is not so straightforward, and circumstances beyond your control occur, I also need to reassess these goals and change accordingly. That is my plan so onto my first step, (the hardest) deciding what do I want. I’ll keep you posted.
