Ever since I can remember I have always been a very vivid dreamer. They are like adventures with my full participation. In my childhood I had recurring dreams which frightened me. They were always about my mother and I remember them being like the children’s story of “Hansel and Gretel.” I used to go to bed pleading with myself not to have those dreams. I haven’t in many many years. Since being diagnosed with MS, I have not had MS in my dreams, which is very nice.
For the first time, in last nights dream I had MS. Like most of my dreams, it was all over the place, lots of things going on at the same time. It started with the beginning of a large forest fire, actually not just the forest, cities, neighborhoods, everything! Going on at the same time was another story of an space vehicle shaped like a large dragon, who flew in large circles, going higher and higher, growing is size with new metal plates, (scales). This was shown to be a test flight and in case of any malfunction would spiral back down to earth and have a contained crash site, (right next to me), with very minimal damage. For some reason my husband and I were shown how this works.
Anyway back to the fire. We had to flee and then the adventure began. Surrounded by fire, falling in all directions around us we fled. There were 2 couples in a boat , one woman was pregnant, fleeing in a boat and they wouldn’t help us. We did find a boat, going along the river dodging fireballs until the river dried up to just a trickle. At that time, met up again with the two couples, who we ended up traveling with. As the river dried up dinosaurs started appearing from the mud. We hopped on the back of a very large herbivore and traveled on him as far as we could and hoped we wouldn’t run into a T-Rex. The pregnant woman dropped off at VCU Hospital. I remember bathrooms seemed to always be available when needed., (as usual someone was always in the handicapped stall!) At this point my husband activated the dragon space vehicle, for some reason thinking it would help with the fires, though there was no connection????
We found more transportation in the form of a small bus motorcycle???? Ending up in Katonah in Westchester County, NY, (I’m from Westchester County, NY) No more dinosaurs, we were trying to find the Hudson River, (which I also grew up on). The fire was following us, sporadically showing up. This is when the MS showed up. I am walking with no walker or wheelchair in site. We hit a large upscale shopping area and all the stores, rather than losing everything to the flames, were offering up all of their inventory for free, . Now this is a real fantasy for me. Problem being, my husband was losing patience, as he always does when we’re shopping, and me trying to get as much as I can!
My energy is fading fast and I’m having a hard time even standing up! Mixed into all of this was telling another pregnant woman to go to a hospital in Daytona Beach along with trying to dodge snakes and sighting beautiful turtles. The dragon vehicle came down to earth again, causing no harm and for no specific reason. I woke up around 7 am, totally dazed and confused and physically exhausted. Here it is 12 noon and I am still exhausted!
