  • 2/22/22 – Buyer’s Remorse

I had to write the date on both of todays posts because this date is all two’s and I wanted to acknowledge that. The more choices that need to be made for the new home, the more I regret buying it. If people don’t visit me in Virginia, what makes me think they will come…

  • IPL Treatment – 2nd Treatment

On Thursday, I went for my second treatment. In the few weeks since the first one I did notice an improvement, one of the spots on my nose had disappeared. This visit, she did less of the IPL and did more spot treatments with the Cutera Excel V, this would be $50 extra. I felt…

  • Resurfacing Demons

I’m back to waking up in the middle of the night with the same negative thoughts and fears running through my mind. I turn on the TV to chase the obsessive thoughts away, but it isn’t working. The commercials take up too much time and I can’t focus on the shows to distract me. All…

  • Monthly Weigh In

139.6 – 2 pounds less. I’m not getting too excited. The only thing I’ve done differently is going back on the stationary bike, pedaling 2 miles daily. I am concentrating on eating only when I’m hungry and not because I’m bored, or because I eat the same thing every day, or trying to stay awake.

  • Ampyra – Missed Dose II

Oops I did it again……I’ve been dying to use that! I was called into the garden yesterday because the people who were hired to do inventory cancelled due to Covid, and they were calling on volunteers to help with inventory. I was happy to oblige. Having the whole week off was wonderful, I thought I…

  • N. Carolina here we go again

We had to travel to N. Carolina last week to make out choices for the home we bought in River Bluffs. I was looking forward to this and happy to start getting this going. Our appointment was at 11 am with the builder, and following that with the interior designer, (not really an interior designer).…

  • Ampyra – Missed Dose

I can’t tell you how many years I have been on Ampyra, I know it is at least 15. I actually take the generic, Dalfampridine ER 10 mg. tabs. This is a time sensitive pill to be taken 12 hours apart. I take mine at 9:30 am and pm. The morning dose I never miss…

  • Game Shows and Disabilities

I have been watching game shows on and off throughout my lifetime. Sometimes because there is nothing else on TV, and other times, like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, because I simply enjoy them. One thing they all have in common is the fact that I have never seen anyone in a wheelchair participating. I…

  • Skin Tags

Let’s talk “skin tags.” I didn’t know there is an official name for them, you know, as you age, small growths, moles, red spots that appear on your neck and chest. These are very common in women and men. They are harmless and to have them removed is not covered by your insurance. Removal is…

  • Breaking Habits

“Old Habits Die Hard”– There is a reason that old adage exists: Truth. I am having a very hard time breaking some, if not most of my daily habits. First thing in the morning, I get out of bed between 7 and 7:30 am, even if I’m still tired. I am a morning person, most…
