The Coronavirus vaccine, (Pfizer) is now being distributed to hospitals, clinics, and first responders and people are getting inoculated. Yesterday, Moderna’s vaccine got the go ahead from the FDA and will also start being distributed. Yeah!!!
Earlier this week I had sent a note to my neurologist through the patient portal, (how to communicate with your doctors these days). I asked him if he knew the protocol as to who will get the vaccines and how we will be getting them. I asked because with MS, an autoimmune disease, I figured I was in the third or fourth round of distribution, before the general public. The answer I received was that it probably wouldn’t be before March or April for the general public.
I knew that! Is MS not a condition that is deemed an underlying condition? I was too aggravated to write back and I don’t think I will. After all if my MS doctor doesn’t think it is an underlying condition then I don’t know what to say. Next I will send the same note to my general practitioner. I’ll keep you posted.
The thought has crossed my mind that, lets just say, What if: These vaccines are put through because of a desperate need but in 1 to 2 years it is found out that they have very deadly consequences. More people will die, it would be a mass killing of millions. Sound like a scene from an upcoming movie? I’m just saying. It is something to think about.
My mind had already gone there but in my new issue of “Brain & Life,” the December/January issue, there is an article about the vaccines. As of October 2020, both Pfizer and Moderna’s press release says that they probably won’t be available until March or later of 2021. Now in December they are both ready. What changed within that month and a half.
In the beginning I didn’t want to be one of the first ones to receive the vaccine, then after hearing Dr, Falchi speak about the vaccines, I changed my mind. Now I’m doubtful again
