Thursday evening Pete and I went and got our updated COVID booster. We both have always gotten the Moderna vaccine. I thought nothing of it, I previously had no side effects. I felt fine the rest of the evening. I woke up on Friday feeling sore, tired and achy, with flulike symptoms. I attributed this to the vaccine. I went and did my shift at the garden. As the day went on I was more tired and aching. I had a hard time getting the wheelchair in the car. When I got home Pete was outside and asked how I felt; he felt the same way.
We had to go out and get some ingredients for the recipes I was going to make the next day. I had invited my friend from the garden, Stevie and her boyfriend Ron for dinner. I used the wheelchair in all three stops. When we got home, my legs were getting worse and worse. So weak, and I had trouble lifting my feet up to take steps. I didn’t do too much the rest of the evening, getting up when I had to.
Pete went to bed at 7:30. I stayed up because I needed my alone time. I put my legs up and hoped that would help. When I went to get up to go to bed, my left leg wouldn’t bend. I had to physically manipulate it to be able to get up. It took me 3 tries to get up. I took a Tylenol and what seemed like forever to walk down the hall into the bedroom. If I felt the same way tomorrow, I would have to cancel dinner and I didn’t want to do that.
Luckily Saturday morning I woke up and felt better. Again as the day went on my legs got weaker and weaker. This morning I’m having a hard time again. On top of that I’m having a terrible pain in my back on the left side where I felt I had a black and blue mark last week, right around my kidney. It is throbbing.
I am so tired of all of this! I just want to go back to where I was before. I had energy and I was able to get around with little difficulty. My last post I was concerned because I was trying to use the walker as much as I could and felt the difference in my legs and energy. What to do? Plod on and hope that this to shall pass.
