I finally did it! Yesterday I went to Richmond Aesthetic Center and spent $3600 on a threadllift. They are priced at $300. a thread. You are fully awake and aware of what they are doing and can ask questions as the procedure is administered. By they, I mean the technician and her assistant. They do everything to make you as comfortable as possible. The procedure is as follows: First you apply cold packs to each side of your face for about 10 minutes. Next comes a numbing cream. Finally, the most painful part, is numbing shots along each side of your face. I compare it to Novacaine from the dentist, only on your face. They are uncomfortable and the pain is short lived so I have to say tolerable. The next step is the threads, I did feel my face getting pulled tighter and some sensation of threads being pulled. The whole procedure took about an hour.
The results are instant and I was told it would take a couple of weeks for the best results. I noticed immediately. My frown lines diminished considerably and most important, my neck. What a difference. I am completely satisfied. There is puncture marks on either side of my temples and lower chin. They are from the numbing needles and have scabs, so I’m hoping they will quickly go away.
Now for the worst. How can I post about this procedure without showing before and after pictures? I have the pictures and before I wrote this entry, I tried once again to download the pictures from my iphone and again was unsuccessful!!! This is an ongoing problem and I cannot blog without pictures!! Next stop is packing up laptop and iphone and going to see the Geeks at Best Buy.
