I was watching country music’s 50th anniversary last week and an artist called Jelly Roll came on and performed a song that really resonated with me and I had to write it down. The lyric is: “I only talk to God when I need a favor, so who the hell am I to expect a savior”
What a great lyric. For the record I don’t talk to God when I need a favor, I talk to him all the time, but I have certainly prayed for things that were important to me and I don’t take it personal if it doesn’t happen.
