135 lbs! Yes, finally some progress, (3 lbs). I have been sticking to my daily 1200 calories, plus I have been riding the exercise bike, 2 miles daily and lifting 2 lb weights for multiple reps throughout pedaling. I don’t ride on volunteer days, (Wed. & Fri) although I could in the afternoons. By adding the calories burned riding on the bike, I add anywhere from 70 to 85 calories to the 1200 daily. This is using the free version of My Fitness Pal. I get a lot of ads and asking me to upgrade, and sometimes the screen just locks and I have to exit and reenter, but its not a problem, I ignore them and enter my meals.
I have manually added recipes, which calculate the calories for me. I check the nutrition and I am alerted when I reach my protein and other goals. I am also notified when I go over my intake for fat, sugar and carbs. I eat a lot, (I mean a lot) of fruit, which goes towards my sugar intake. I do ignore this because my cousin does Weight Watchers, which is also calorie based, and they don’t give a limit on fruit. My constant is always too many carbs, but still staying within my calorie count for the day.
I close out at the end of each day except for when we go out to eat. I don’t count calories, usually once a week. I don’t go overboard eating out, no fried foods or dessert, or a cocktail even if I want one. I usually order water with lemon as my drink and that is no sacrifice, since that’s the only thing I drink anyway.
