A few weeks ago we went to see Paul McCartney’s photo exhibit covering the years of 1963/1964, titled, “Eyes of the Storm.”
This is a fairly new exhibit, the first showing was in London. I am so fortunate that the next showing, (first in the US), would be at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, VA. That is only an hour away!! This is a beautiful museum and unbelievably, admission is free, (donations accepted).
The exhibit is on the first floor and consists of 4 or 5 rooms. It starts in London at the beginning of their whirlwind takeover of our lives, (my words). It is all seen through Paul’s eyes as they landed in NY and time spent in Miami. It’s extremely interesting from the point of what Paul was seeing and how he felt at the time. There are explanations and comments by Paul besides the pictures.
It was so much fun for me and I wore one of my Beatles shirts and received a lot of compliments and opened the door for some very nice conversations. I bought the large hardcover book, same title as exhibit, containing all that we saw that was sold in the gift shop along with some small pictures
