Sex in the City

As I was sitting down to eat my lunch on Saturday, (same time, 1:30, same lunch, yogurt, strawberries, apple, granola bar, every single day) I put on the TV. As I was searching I saw that Sex in the City was on the E channel. I put it on and next thing I knew it was 6:00! It turns out they were having a marathon, ending on Sunday with the 2 movies.

The episodes I watched were the ones where she met Aiden and was very happy with him, proclaiming their love for each other. Then of course Big enters the picture, yet again, and she proceeds to fool around behind Aiden and Big’s wife’s back. Of course culminating in the end of her relationship with Aiden and being caught in Big’s apartment by his wife.

When I had originally watched this I was in my 30’s. I loved Big as much as Carrie did! I didn’t like Aiden at all, I thought he had gotten in the way of Carrie’s true love. Well here I am in my early 60’s and I like Aiden, alot! I see Big and Carrie’s relationship as toxic. Big is a huge challenge for Carrie.. I related at the time because I too liked a challenge, mistakenly confusing toxicity for love. I mention this because I surprised myself on how much my opinion changed.

That’s all folk’s
