I thought my last post on Violet would have been the happy ending we wanted for her, but unfortunately I received a phone call from Whitney. She regretfully informed me that they took Violet back to the rescue. My heart sunk. Since her husband travels a lot she tried walking Violet and found her to be too strong for her to handle, (she is probably 110 lbs). She felt very bad and apologized for acting too rashly.
I have mixed feelings about this; Yes I think she acted too quickly, without thinking it over. They also only kept her for 3 days. I understand her not being able to handle Violet, but I think with training that could have been overcome. My heart breaks for this lovable mush and I will follow up with the shelter. They have another call out for fostering during the Christmas holiday and hopefully she will be fostered with a happier outcome.
