Granddaughters 2nd Birthday

We arrived on her birthday for a small party, just family. My ex-husband was supposed to be there but his flight had been delayed, (thank God). It was very enjoyable, she loved her Fudgie the Whale cake from Carvel. So did I and everyone else! Of all the Carvel cakes I’ve had over the years, (many, many) I’ve never had Fudgie the Whale. Wow it was great!

Anyway, I digress. Thursday we also spent time with her, although her other grandfather, (ex-husband) was there with his big mouth, gold chains, bracelets, rings and tatoo’s on his saggy body. A big party was planned for the following Saturday . We arrive the day of her party, it is very hot, in the 90’s. Lo and behold here he comes again, (ex-husband) wearing, get this a, “Let’s Go Brandon” T-shirt!!! Can you believe it? To a 2 year old’s birthday party! I wanted to leave, but as my son says, (very wisely I might add) it’s all about our granddaughter. So while I swallowed my rage, (nearly choking to death!) I avoided him like the plague. Although the follwoing day, left alone in a room with him, we did get into an argument, about Trump, who else.

The party was very nice, they had it catered, the food was good and so was the company. I got to see my nephew with his wife and two daughters, whom I really like and was happy to see. My grandson was also there looking very handsome and I spent time with him too! She got tons of presents, toys, clothes and money. She is a real trooper, always in a good mood and ready to play and try new things. There were 3 cakes because our granddaughters mother has two kids from a previous marriage and all of their birthdays are in May.
