Well it goes without saying, we knew this was going to happen. I thought they, (Democrats) made a very good case. In the end there were 8 Republicans who voted for the impeachment. Now this is where I’m confused. They are facing repercussions from the rest of the Republican party that voted against the impeachment. Being a Republican, or Democrat for that matter, must you always vote with your party? Are you not allowed to have your own opinion? That doesn’t make sense to me.
Then there’s Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who, after all his talk about believing Trump was responsible, voted against the impeachment! What??? Afterwards he made a 20 minute speech blaming Trump, saying his “crescendo of conspiracy theories,” caused the Jan. 6 Capital riots for which he was “practically and morally responsible.” “They did this because they had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on earth because he was angry he had lost the election.” “Former President Trump’s actions that preceded the riot were a disgraceful, disgraceful dereliction of duty.” He went on to further say that there could possibly be criminal charges brought against Trump.
I have nothing else to say for now…..
