Back to NY again, for our granddaughters 2nd birthday! I am thrilled that we’ve gotten to spend time with her twice in the past two months. Her party was on Saturday, the 21st, and her real birthday was on Wednesday, the 18th, which is when we arrived in Westchester.
We arrived in NY on Sunday, the 15th. First we went to Long Island to visit his mother and stay with her. I really didn’t want to, (I would have liked to spend all of my time with our granddaughter). Since P did all the driving, I was gracious enough not to start a fight over it. Really it was only the fair thing to do. We did get to go out to dinner with his sister, brother-in-law, and nephews, all of whom I like. We ate right on the bay and got to spend time by the ocean, (which is therapy to me), and even shop in a gift store helping his mother make a decision on a picture to buy.
On the other hand, his mother drove both of us crazy, (constant talking, constant indecisiveness) especially P, whom she had a never ending list of jobs for him to do. Again to be fair she is in her 80’s, so he should help her all he can while we’re up there.
