Most of the time I like a rogue plant. By rogue, I mean a plant that reseeds itself in strange, sometimes unwanted spaces. I’ve had tomatoes in the rose garden and also in a shade garden. I have Black Eyed Susan’s in with some Hellebores and Variegated Liriope, (the garden with the mossy head). This is the 2nd year I have Columbine coming up in the driveway, one by the hose and air conditioners, and the other right against the house. Note there is basically no soil, lots of moss. My first instinct was to dig it up and move into a garden, but my friend Cat, suggested leaving it. A pretty presence in a not so pretty space.
