Who can it be now?

6/28

The other day Amy Klobuchar voluntarily removed herself from the list of candidates for Vice President, under Joe Biden.  I feel that this is a major mistake on her part. Here’s why: He had already stated that he would choose a woman, so here goes: She is the most qualified and has a proven record of getting things done.  She is also a moderate, nothing too extreme that could possibly turn off from some voters.

This election is very important.  I am a registered Independent.  I was raised in a Republican household.  It doesn’t matter to me what political party you represent, but I do know what I would like in a leader.  Unfortunately there seems to be slim pickings and you have to decide who would best represent the issues that are important to you.

In saying that, I feel Joe Biden will be my pick.  Choosing a Vice Presidential candidate can make or brake your campaign.  Right now, and for very good reason, the Black Lives Matter, is first and foremost, besides the Corona virus.  With this in mind, Amy Klobuchar strongly felt that his choice should be an African American woman, and that is why she recused herself. I have an open mind and some other time I would be all for it.  Not this time.  No one is more qualified, liked and respected more than her, (by the way,  for those who question his age and health; if he happens to die, we would have our first female president)

Another reason, we have to take baby steps.  We are in old white man’s territory.  Some people on the fence about voting for Trump again, sorry to say, but its true, are not going to vote in a candidate with a black female for Vice President, regardless of how qualified they may be.  He also can’t pick someone too extreme left, leaning toward socialism.  He will lose the very important vote of those on the fence. You know all those good ole’ boys who love Trump!  Let’s just begin by getting a woman in there, yes a white woman, and I don’t feel right saying that and I don’t know how to say it without sounding prejudice, but I honestly feel I’m looking at it in a common sense way.  These men are tough and stubborn and  and I’m looking at this strategically to deal with the situation at hand.
