On this day, 20 years ago, my favorite Beatle, George, passed away at the age of 58 from cancer. I bring this up because I didn’t have a blog then and I’ll never forget how I felt that day. Amazing, “My Sweet Lord,” just started playing on the radio. (coincidence, I think not). When it comes to George’s music, I feel it deeply in my heart and gut. When the announcement came of his death, my heart ached and it still does when I listen to his music.
I felt such a deep sadness at the time and watching the new film “Get Back,” by Peter Jackson, brings it all back again, that sadness is still with me, its part of me.
